Manganese and nitrogen are partially substituted for nickel in the Type 201 composition. Our 201 stainless steel has excellent impact resistance. It is also extremely tough in cold weather. This grade has about 30% higher yield strength than 301 stainless steel (another popular choice), while maintaining the same ductility.
