Introduction

On the morning of June 30th at 9:18 AM, the No. 1 RH refining furnace steam pump retrofit project at the Baotou Steel Rare Earth Steel Plate Factory was officially commissioned. This marks an important step for the factory in improving production efficiency, optimizing product quality, and promoting green manufacturing. It has laid a solid foundation for the Rare Earth Steel Plate Factory to achieve high-quality sustainable development and to create an efficient and green production line.

Significance of RH Furnace

The RH furnace is a key production process in the smelting of automotive steel, which is crucial for improving the purity and performance of steel. Originally, non-oriented silicon steel was not included in the product design outline of the Rare Earth Steel Plate Factory. However, with the continuous development of variety steel, the RH furnace, due to its small designed vacuum hopper volume, took too long to add various alloys, which restricted the mass production of high-grade non-oriented silicon steel.

Steam Pump Retrofit

The steam pump retrofit has greatly improved the mechanical pump overheating situation during the continuous production process of the RH furnace caused by large gas load, thereby enhancing the production efficiency of the RH furnace.
